Live Music on the Strip: Nightlife in Las Vegas

Finding live music on the Las Vegas Strip is a fairly easy task. Large theaters and events centers have a steady line up of big names. Lounges, bars and restaurants offer live music as well–and you can count on the Strip’s street performers for a few free tunes.

The Las Vegas Strip’s largest venues, like the T-Mobile Arena and MGM Grand Gardens, host the biggest names, like Elton John, Paul McCartney and the AMA Awards. A concert here is a very large group experience, which means it’s a good idea to plan for navigating big crowds. Even if you have a car, skip driving and take a taxi or ride share to avoid the traffic jams that follow any big events.

Smaller music venues offer more intimate experiences, like The Chelsea at The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas, with a maximum seating of 2,500 (as opposed to the 20,000 T-Mobile can accommodate). Brooklyn Bowl is another smaller room, plus you can go bowling. It’s also one of the Strip’s more affordable places to see concerts.

If you’re planning a trip to Vegas and want to catch any headliners, plan as far ahead as possible. Check the event calendars for the rosters of who’ll be playing when you’re in town. You’ll definitely have plenty of choices.
